Job description:
Qorvo’s Connectivity Systems Business Unit develops unique innovative Ultra-wideband, Matter, Thread, Zigbee and Bluetooth Low Energy semiconductor devices.
Customers integrate Qorvo silicon in their end products based on development kits and reference designs designed by the Applications Engineering Team of which you will be part of. You will participate in the team’s design and test automation work associated with this hardware.
Your work focusses on designing development boards that enable software engineers to write and debug software on Qorvo silicon. Further to this, you contribute to integrating Qorvo radio silicon on radio boards and into reference designs. You are part of a team of applications engineers located across Europe. Therefore, you collaborate with local and remote colleagues on a daily basis, and you play a key role in reviewing the team’s deliverables.
The automated tests you set up ensure the quality of the produced hardware. You deal with low volume prototype manual and semi-automated testing in-house. You steer/support external assembly and test houses for the larger production batches. Therefore, it is expected that you can travel to these locations.
Your lab activities consist of testing and validating the new hardware the team designs. During this work you use a wide range of test and measurement equipment.
 

Qualifications:
•    Electrical Engineering degree in electronics and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
•    Knowledge on usage of test and measurement equipment is a must
•    Experience in electronic design, including schematic and layout
•    Experience with SMD soldering and rework is an asset
•    Knowledge of analog, mixed signal and digital electronic design is a must
•    Knowledge of Python, or other scripting language and willingness to learn Python is a must
•    Experience with RF design is an asset
•    Experience in embedded C programming is an asset
•    Experience with Ultra-wideband, ZigBee, Bluetooth Low Energy or Thread is an asset 
•    You are a good communicator with an open personality
•    Team player, reaching out when stuck, sharing knowledge to grow the full team
•    You feel comfortable having direct contact with our suppliers
•    Willing to travel within Europe (max. 10%)
•    You are an analytical thinker with a no-nonsense mentality
•    You have a quality focused mindset
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
