Summary:

Qorvo is looking for a student to work as a Die Yield/Probe engineering Intern from January-June 2023 or longer.  The position will be temporary in nature and last approximately 9 months

The student in this position will be exposed to all aspects of the design, radio frequency (RF) characterization and data analysis of a multi-mode multi-band module for use in handset and wireless applications.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Engineering support:
    • Device Engineering activity of monitoring probe yield and take appropriate proactive actions
    • Collaborate with other Yield to drive yield improvements
    • Interface with other Operations and engineering groups in a team-oriented work environment to address yield issues and implement solutions to reduce retest rates
    • Must be willing to work flexible hours when required to support 24x7 manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing Support:
    • Disposition nonconforming product/ test methods/ equipment and establish disposition guidelines for production
    • Determine root causes of nonconforming product/ test methods/ equipment and take appropriate action
    • Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate wafer retest and nonconforming material or ineffective methods and trouble shoot equipment

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or equivalent required. Currently enrolled in MS/PhD
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrated expertise to interpret data using statistical techniques (time-series analysis, DOE, SPC, ANOVA)
  • Expertise in SQL/AI/Python script writing and database manipulation
  • Knowledge of device physics and/or electrical operation of CMOS, HBT, pHEMT, and MESFET devices
  • Ability to ngage in group problem-solving and process improvement projects (familiarity with Six Sigma or LEAN methods is desirable)
  • Proficiency writing clear and concise specifications, reports, instructions, etc.
  • Ability to exercise proper engineering discipline required in a manufacturing environment
