HR Specialist EMEA

 

This position will report to the Director of HR for the Cellular and Connectivity Business groups, working with a team of HR Business Partners (HRBPs) located in the US and Europe.  The selected candidate will provide HR Country Support to Qorvo locations in Utrecht, Netherlands and Zele, Belgium, Payroll Support, and HR Shared Service Transactional Support as part of Qorvo’s HR Connect Team with primary focus on the EMEA region.   This entry level HR role will build upon the candidate’s HR educational background with practical application and mentorship and guidance from other experienced EMEA HRBPs.

 

HR Country Support Responsibilities

 

  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Staffing responsibilities include participation in interviews, working with the talent acquisition team and HRBP to determine offers, offer letter and contract generation
  • Coordinate the onboarding process of new employees as well as the exit process, including the creation of exit documents and certificates
  • Assist in building Qorvo’s recent college graduate and intern program in partnership with the University Relations Team and EMEA HRBPs through local university outreach and recruitment
  • Support Qorvo HRBPs and Compliance in ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with legal regulations; update policies, procedures and regulations, as required in partnership with HRBPs
  • Provide support and partnership to the Utrecht Work’s Council for continuous improvement for employee engagement and employee retention
  • Participate in varied HR projects and initiatives, including standardization and continuous improvement of processes
  • Participate in employee relations matters with support from the HRBP team
  • Support the Global Benefits team for country specific needs and coordinate with local providers for plan administration and statutory reporting
  • Coordinate Well-being and Qorvo Cares activities with site representatives to execute community relations and employee engagement activities
  • Support the site leadership and Qorvo’s Environmental Health and Safety team on site matters
  • Support the HRBP Team with strategic initiatives in employee development, retention, compensation, and HR administration, as needed

 

 

Payroll Responsibilities

  • Monthly Salary payments and validations in tandem with the finance team and external payroll provider for Utrecht and Zele locations
  • Partner with Qorvo Payroll to support local employees with the maintenance of PTO and leave registration and periodic reporting needs
  • Support in internal and external audits

 

HR Shared Service Transactional Responsibilities

 

  • Support with basic analytical requests that may require tracking and pulling data, creation of pivot tables, data analysis and summaries
  • Performing data entry to HR systems (including SAP HR, SuccessFactors, ServiceNow)
  • Support EMEA region New Hire and Termination processes including collecting paperwork and data entry for regular employees and contingent workers
  • Assist with verifications of employment
  • Coordinate and submit one time payments processing including validation of proper approvals

 


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in HR or similar education with a desire to learn and grow their HR career; Prior HR internship or apprenticeship preferred
  • Ability to work independently as a part of a geo-diverse team
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams- responsiveness is absolutely critical
  • Enjoy tactical or administrative work, having strong administrative skills and a customer service orientated mindset
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with HRIS
  • High level of work ethics and cultural awareness
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Dutch, Flemish and English; Spanish or French language preferred
