Qorvo Technology Platform Power Management team is looking for a Principal level  silicon design engineer with 15+ years of experience in relevant product development to design detailed transistor level Analog and Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMIC) circuits for Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS) and RF switch controller applications.  The candidate will design high performance, low current, low voltage circuits in an environment where collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams is a must to deliver next generation products from concept to high volume mass production.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Specification, design, implementation and transistor level simulation of analog and power management blocks and sub-systems
  • Circuit level IC physical layout, direction of layout engineers
  • Bench level lab verification
  • Collaboration with characterization and production test teams to define, perform, and verify performance 
  • Support concurrent engineering activities to ensure on-going production of quality products with high yield 
  • Create necessary design / product documentation 
  • Presentation of results by hosting design reviews

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSEE (MSEE preferred) or related field and 15+ years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry 
  • Experience designing analog and power management circuits such as switch mode power supplies (SMPS), bandgap references, operational amplifiers, comparators, Schmitt Triggers, power-on resets, low dropout regulators (LDOs), charge pumps, power FETs, D2A’s, A2D’s, etc. 
  • Experience with RF circuits and systems, RF Power Amps is a plus 
  • High power, low voltage, low current, area optimized transistor level design techniques 
  • Experience with Cadence / Virtuoso design tools 
  • Familiarity with different IC process technologies (i.e., CMOS and SOI)  
  • Demonstrates the ability to generate and implement innovative solutions 
  • Excellent lab skills and familiarity with test equipment 
  • Independent, individual contributor and team player 
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
