Based in the Toulouse Office, France, the Senior Test & Validation Software Engineer primary goal will be to contribute, within the Qorvo UWBU Mobile Software Integration Team, to the testing and validation of the software functions, reference designs and solutions dedicated to Qorvo Mobile phone applications and products. As such, he/she will assist the software integration lead and the software architect in defining and implementing test & validation plans for the Qorvo’s Ultra-Wideband wireless solutions dedicated to Mobile phone OEM’s, thereby contributing to securing design-wins for Qorvo and ultimately driving revenue for the company.



  • Accountable for planning and conducting test and validation of UWB Mobile software, that may include specific function blocks and / or end-to-end UWB applications and solution running on a Mobile platform  

  • Perform manual and automated testing, applying testing methodologies co-defined with the software integration lead and project managers  

  • Assist in the definition of test & validation plan and any related documentation and support coordination of test activities 

  • Developing prototype test schedules and monitor usage  

  • Develop unique corporate test standards from knowledge and experience using industry best-practices and standards  

  • Collaborate with other Software Engineers as well as other Engineering disciplines, to design and implement test & validation plans 

  • Plan and coordinate 3rd party test activities when applicable & required  

  • Monitor, document and communicate the status of the test & validation activities for assigned areas 



  • Primary support to Qorvo Mobile software integration team, for all UWB software related activities 

  • On an ad-hoc basis, assisting customers directly and indirectly (through local sales and FAE teams) in their software integration an use  of Qorvo UWB Android software stack   

  • Interact with (and take advise from) lead software architect and software integration manager 

  • Producing technical documentation to the highest standards  

  • Reproducing, analysing and solving technical issues seen on customer platforms in the laboratory to meet customer performance expectations 

  • Develop Qorvo’s UWB software know-how related to Mobile applications and share with other Mobile Applications teams in the regions 



  • Ability to communicate efficiently  



  • Bachelor or MSEE degree in a relevant software engineering discipline
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience 
  • Technical understanding: Embedded systems, digital, network & RF software layers  
  • Experience in the Semiconductor industry  
  • Software test and methodology  
  • C/ C++ / Python programming and Embedded software 
  • OS: Android; Linux 
  • and or on the mobile phone industry highly desired 
  • Experience with NFC, Secure Elements and radio communication medium is a plus 
  • Android experience is mandatory, including lower layers (Linux Kernel)  
  • Excellent communicator
