Job Summary:

The intern will work with the Thermal Characterization Engineering team on the development of a process to automate data collection for thermal characterization of Qorvo’s wireless products.

We are currently using multiple software platforms to perform control DC/RF bench equipment. We would like to be able to combine this into one platform.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a basic understanding of a Quantum Focus Instruments (QFI) Infrared Microscope
  • Have a good understanding of DC and RF electrical measurement equipment
  • Develop a process that will automate thermal and electrical data collection
  • Develop a program that will control both the IR microscope and the electrical equipment and set up the DC and RF test parameters
  • Place the data in an Excel spreadsheet for report writing

 

Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • GPA > 3.25
  • CAD/FEA experience
  • Computer programming experience
  • Work in team environment
