About Qorvo Power Devices

Power Devices develops innovative silicon carbide power semiconductors that deliver the industry’s best efficiency and performance for electric-vehicle (EV) chargers, DC-DC converters, and traction drives, as well as telecom/server power supplies, variable-speed motor drives, and solar photovoltaic (PV) inverters. We are growing and therefore looking for a self-driven and experienced Staff NPI product development engineer to work cross-functionally on a diverse range of challenges. He / She will have a critical influence on the company’s success. Responsibilities

  • You will be part of Qorvo’s Product engineering/development team, responsible for product development and engineering for SiC products.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams, like OSAT engineering, quality (QM), Test Engineering, and Fab teams for product yield, cost, and quality improvement goals & projects. Ownership for all products by working with FE (Fabs) and BE (assembly) engineering teams.
  • Product Characterization: Successfully characterize existing and new products, defining production test plans.
  • Product/Manufacturing Changes: Perform evaluation and qualification of BOM changes or new/second source manufacturing sites to ensure product specifications, quality and manufacturing requirements are met. Maintain product documentation for internal or external (customer) updates, changes, and/or corrections.
  • Product Reliability: Create and manage product reliability plans for site specific on-going reliability program.
  • Customer support: Provide support for customer issues and/or RMA returns.
  • Work closely with Technology and/or product development teams.

 

Qualifications:

  • BSEE /MSEE, background with 8+years’ experience in Product Engineering or Design.
  • A strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes. A very good working knowledge of power semiconductors.
  • Experience with New product development, product testing, test data analysis for yield enhancement, physical failure analysis, working with manufacturing, subcons, and product validation.
  • Statistical analysis expertise.
  • Motivated, results oriented and creative problem solver with good writing, presentation, and overall communication skills in English.
  • A high degree of independence in scoping, analyzing, and defining solutions for product and methodology related issues.
  • Excited by working cross-functionally on a diverse range of challenges.
  • A high tolerance for ambiguity.
