The successful candidate will be responsible for next-generation defense and aerospace product test development engineering activities, supporting the world's most advanced radar, space, communication, and electronic warfare systems. Activities will include but not be limited to developing test solutions (hardware and software), measuring and analyzing performance data and interacting with Design Engineers and Product Engineers to ensure that products are accurately tested to a customer specification. Proficiency in developing Cadence/enVision and Unison/C++ test software is required. Basic knowledge of DC and RF measurements such as s-parameters, power, noise figure, harmonics and inter-modulation is also required. The position focuses on new product introduction but is also expected to support product sustaining and yield improvement activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews product test specification and applicable test equipment requirements
- Designs final test solution for semiconductor products such as RF Amplifier, Analog and Mixed signal ICs
- Develops test software using Cadence/enVision and Unison/C++
- Develops test solutions on Cohu (LTX, Credence) ATE systems: PAx, MX and AC
- Advises layout technician on design and fabrication of production test boards
- Provides test software and hardware support to prototype and production test work centers
- Reviews/submits production documentation and hardware for product release and test solution handoff to high volume production test environment
- Supports continuous improvement activities and quality improvement initiatives within the Test Development team
- Generates statistical test data analysis using Tibco Spotfire statistical analysis tool
- Uses production test processes such as correlation, ANOVA, De-Embedding for test solution development
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSEE degree required or equivalent course of study in an accredited college or university. MSEE preferred
- At least five years of relevant test development experience
- Solid analytical and programming skills, strong interpersonal skills, self-starter and team player
- Experience in Cadence/enVision and Unison/C++ programming languages
- Experience with the commercial Cohu ATE test platforms
- Experience with Linux or CentOS operating systems
- Experience with RF Amplifier, Analog and Mixed signal ICs
- Experience with the RF components commonly used (RF amplifiers, mixers, attenuators, filters, couplers, isolators, VCOs, Synthesizers)
- Familiarity with source control software
- Familiarity with statistical data analysis tool such as Jmp/Spotfire
