Sr Modeling Engineer - RF Device Models

We are looking for a Senior Modeling Engineer to join our team developing our innovative RF device models for Qorvo’s GaN & GaAs technologies. This will involve fitting, verifying, distributing and supporting Linear and Nonlinear device models for development of RF ICs. The candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to conduct technical reviews with design engineering teams. This position will be a key member on the Qorvo Modeling Team, supporting Design Engineering, Product Engineering, R&D, and Process Technology Development.
 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop Compact Models for Qorvo GaN & GaAs technologies to be used for design simulation.
• Develop, distribute and maintain model libraries.
• Develop design guides, tutorials, and examples for the design community.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering with combined 5+ years experience in an RF IC Compact Modeling and/or Design Engineer role.
• Strong understanding of Compact modeling, RF/microwave design, and measurement.
• Use of either Keysight ADS or Cadence AWR.
• Ability to develop non-linear device models.
• Ability to work well with many different teams across the organization, that are located globally.
• Ability to work, in person, in an RF Test lab.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Record of publishing in technical journals and/or magazines.
• MS and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering

Work Location:  Richardson, Texas.
