RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qorvo is a leading MEMS sensor company, with technology used in a range of applications, including Automotive,
Smart Home, Smartphones, Computing, Gaming, and TWS headsets. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical
Engineer to join a small, dynamic team based in San Jose, CA, and drive business development across North America. The candidate will
work in the consumer electronics and automotive sectors, delivering world-class applications support directly to customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide technical support in Mechanical Design
- Review customer Mechanical CAD designs and simulate MEMS sensor performance in CAD software to optimize solutions for customer-specific applications
- Participate in cross-disciplinary system integration efforts, including Mechanical, Hardware, Software, and application-specific systems
- Support customers with system design validation, from prototype stages through to successful mass production
- Deliver technical support for Mechanical Hardware and application-specific system challenges
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues identified on customer platforms in a laboratory setting
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to offer pre-design-in support during sales promotions
- Present Qorvo’s Force Sensor technology to customers, assess their technical requirements, and propose suitable mechanical solutions
- Act as a liaison between Qorvo’s corporate Force Sensor teams and customers throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to mass production
REQUIREMENTS:
- A BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering (required)
- Additional education or experience in electrical engineering is highly beneficial (e.g., the ability to read schematics, perform basic circuit setups, and execute hardware testing)
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience, including on-site field applications support, mechanical design, and system integration
- Proficiency in Mechanical Design using SolidWorks is strongly preferred
- Expertise in Mechanical CAD design, with capabilities in simulation and modeling
- Experience working with high-volume customers, ideally with experience supporting product ramp to mass production
- A problem-solving mindset, with a commitment to ensuring customer success
- Ability to work independently and develop innovative solutions to challenges
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and deliver to tight deadlines
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English is required
- Routine travel within North America is required, with the potential for occasional international travel
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (BENEFIT):
- Familiarity with serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI)
- Experience using code development tools to execute code and perform basic hardware debugging, particularly with regard to serial protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $129,500 - $168,500, relevant for the California Bay Area (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.
