Qorvo's fast-growing Power Management division focusing on Power loss protection, PM ICs, Motor Control, and Battery Management solutions for a wide range of Mobile, Consumer, IOT and Industrial applications is looking for an experienced Sr. Development Engineer to create next generation and world-class designs in power management solutions.

 

This position will be located in Apopka, FL.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide engineering development support for Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) and Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) filter products.
  • Establish test criteria and limits for high volume on-wafer and final packaged filter products to ensure compliance with customer requirements and Qorvo’s data sheets, and work with test engineering on implementation.
  • Determine product compliance to customer requirement and prepare Qorvo Data Sheet specification proposals and discuss them with Applications and Marketing Engineering.
  • Assist quality engineering during product qualification and failure analysis in development.
  • Transition SAW and BAW technology devices into high volume production using SPC analysis and performing correlations, as well as providing feedback to the mobile filter design team for design optimization for manufacturability.
  • Interface with design, process, test and reliability engineering to solve product ramp problems.
  • Support factory product and quality engineering teams in maintaining yields and troubleshooting production issues, failure analysis, 8D reports, cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives for mature products.
  • Use Lean methods for improving processes and procedures.
  • May telecommute.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a product or development engineering-related occupation;
  • Acoustic RF filters, SAW and BAW;
  • Radio Frequency and signal processing concepts;
  • SPC data and statistics;
  • Semiconductor fabrication;
  • High Volume Production Test, Fab Processing, or Quality Engineering;
  • New product development, qualification, failure analysis or transition from prototype to production; and
  • Statistical Analysis tools: JMP, Spotfire, or R.
