Job Overview

Responsible for analyzing and planning the production plan to ensure on-time delivery of material supply and other objectives. Analyzes inventory, sales, and/or production in SAP for strategic management of global supply chain planning purposes. Responsibilities include material procurement, bottleneck analysis, supply chain management.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities 

• Analyzes, plans, initiates and implements all applicable supply planning-related efforts to ensure on-time delivery of production materials
• Creates and maintains wafer start plans aligned to demand forecasts and capacity
• Analyzes capacity loading, identifies production bottlenecks and drives supply plan to ensure meeting customer requirements
• Aligns production schedules with equipment availability and operational constraints
• Translates customer requirements into actionable production plans
• Monitors demand fluctuations and adjust plans to mitigate shortages or excess inventory
• Tracks wafer starts, work-in-process and cycle time performance
• Provides regular planning and performance reporting to management
• Reviews demand and supply and works strategically with external suppliers and internal customers on escalations and issues
• Takes actions to prevent delays and negative financial impact due to material supply and involves other team and management as necessary to resolve issues
• Keeps up to date on materials and systems used by the company and more broadly within the entire industry in order to identify trends and best practices that will allow the company to operate more efficiently

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain or in business related field or study or equivalent training and/or experience
• Knowledge of wafer fabrication processes and cycle time management
• Experience in wafer start or fabrication planning within the semiconductor industry
• Good analytical capability and problem-solving skills
• High level of interpersonal skills, detail oriented, quality conscious, able to work independently and efficiently on various assignments, self-motivated, knowledge of systems structure and process oriented
• 4-5 yrs prior experience in supply planning, master scheduling or work center planning, preferably in a high-tech company
• APICS certification and SAP knowledge preferred
