Job Description /  Accountabilities : 

 

The position involves strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and mitigate risks.

  • Responsible for OSAT, Laminate & SMDs suppliers’ quality performance to ensure meeting Qorvo out-going products quality requirement, protect Qorvo customer and revenue from quality risk
  • Ensure Best-in-class quality performance from key suppliers and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Manage and lead multi-national supplier quality engineers in Asia to ensure all SQEs with required competency to drive for quality performance,
  • Develop strategies and drive continuous improvement to mitigate risks and meet customer expectations. Specific responsibilities include:
    • Change Control: Manage and approve supplier and OSAT changes, ensuring minimal impact on production and quality. Review supplier change management processes and lead supplier continuous improvement programs.
    • Quality Scorecard: Develop and track supplier and OSAT scorecards, driving quality performance improvements. Manage and drive supplier quality performance to meet or exceed KPI goals.
    • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in Supplier and OSAT quality performance. Initiate, organize, and lead cross-functional task forces for short-term problem-solving and long-term continuous improvement.
    • Supplier and OSAT Development: Collaborate with suppliers and OSATs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Monitor process performance indices on qualified processes and establish proactive control systems to maintain and improve process performance.
    • Risk Management & Mitigation: Identify and mitigate supplier and OSAT-related risks, ensuring business continuity.
    • Supplier and OSAT Audit: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Address customer audit findings, implementing corrective actions and process improvements. Investigate customer quality complaints and RMAs; drive 8D corrective and preventive actions to address root causes of customer quality issues.

 

Job Requirements : 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Quality) with >10 years of Semiconductor Industry experience, with a focus on supplier quality management, process engineering, or quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated good track record of managing complex supplier quality programs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and working cross-functionally with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Certifications and Expertise In-depth knowledge of international quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 etc.) is essential.
  • Practical familiarity with quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, 8D problem solving, and supplier audit methodologies is highly valuable.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is an advantage.
  • Skills and Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are mandatory for interacting with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Fluency in English and ability to lead process improvement, audits, and supplier development projects.
  • Proactive, relationship-focused, and capable of negotiating and convincing stakeholders to achieve quality objectives
