Position: Field Applications Engineer - Power Management

Location: Shanghai



Qorvo is a leading provider of innovative and high-performance power management semiconductors. We are expanding our power business and seeking a talented Field Application Engineer (FAE) to provide technical application support to our customers in Shanghai and the surrounding area. As an FAE, you will play a crucial role in integrating Qorvo power management into our customers’ product designs. Working closely with our sales team, you will convert opportunities into design wins and provide on-site technical and lab support throughout the design cycle. Your expertise and guidance will encompass component selection, system analysis, board layout, validation testing, and post-production support.



  • Provide technical support and advocate for the use of Qorvo's power management semiconductors in customer designs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to convert opportunities into successful design wins.
  • Deliver on-site technical support and hands-on assistance to power electronics customers throughout the design cycle.
  • Guide designers in component selection, system analysis, board layout, validation testing, and post-production support.
  • Offer customer-inspired input to influence new product development and provide support during product releases.
  • Develop an extensive knowledge of Qorvo's power management portfolio to deliver world-class applications support.
  • Analyze power solutions using simulation tools.
  • Establish strong relationships with customers and coordinate product-promotion activities with the sales team.



  • Strong background in the design and development of power management and motor control circuits.
  • Excellent knowledge of power systems and the ability to ensure compliance with EMI and transient requirements.
  • Proficiency in BLDC and PMSM motor control.
  • Understanding of EMI and transient requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Familiarity with power measurement equipment, such as electronic loads, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Proficient in proper PCB layout techniques for high power and high voltage circuits.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, along with strong interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in resolving customer technical issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve goals.
  • Willingness to travel as required.



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
  • 10+ years of experience in power management design and support.
  • Proficient in English for both written and verbal communication.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
