SUMMARY:

We are looking for a motivated Senior RF Module Design Engineer with a solid background in RF design, excellent communication skills, and strong drive to produce best in class products.  The candidate will be responsible for designing RF front end module laminate substrates for Wi-Fi applications. Applicant will work closely with a core design engineering team and other cross functional team members to bring cutting edge Wi-Fi 7/8 products to the market.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and development of RF Front End Module substrates for WiFi applications
  • Module level design from concept to production, including integration of PAs, LNAs, and switches into highly compact multilayer modules
  • Simulation of TX and RX performance using ADS, HFSS, and Dynamic Link to solve isolation and coupling problems and to optimize simulation vs. measurement accuracy
  • Collaboration with PA and LNA/Switch designers to optimize module performance
  • Collaboration with test team to evaluate laminate designs and module builds, including test condition specification and troubleshooting
  • Data analysis and presentation of full module performance, coordination of internal and external samples, and support of module release to production
  • Presentation of design reviews and weekly design/evaluation status


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSEE (minimum) with 8 years minimum experience, MSEE or Ph.D. (preferred) with 5 years minimum experience
  • Expert or high proficiency in ADS and HFSS or other EM tools and how they apply to laminate-based modules
  • Capable of refining simulation results to achieve excellent predictability with the goal of first pass success
  • Understanding of WiFi and Bluetooth protocols and frequency bands of operation
  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly motivated, and interactive team environment
  • Highly organized and detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
  • Experience with RF measurement equipment, such as spectrum and network analyzers
