This position will involve multiple aspects of the design of 1-3GHz RF front end modules including circuit design, simulation, layout, validation, data analysis and reporting. Directly responsible for simulating multiple die and surface mount devices inetgrated on multi-layer laminate. Requires coordinating and collaborating with cross functional team members from conception through production to develop high volume multi-chip module. Requires great communication skills and attention to detail to pull together all inputs from team. Will help complete design simulation of prouct during development to ensure our laminate meets schedule and product specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full module electromagnetic simulation in HFSS to include mulitple die, surface mount components and multi layer laminate
- Full module s-parameter simulation and reporting using Keysight ADS
- Full module simulation measured vs modeled reporting
- Full module simulation infrastructure support that inlcudes keeping specifications and limits up to date within our reporting dashboards
- Depending on experience the role will expand to include debug and redesign efforts to address non compliant specifcations and improve key module performance metrics
- Close collaboration with team members to collect inputs for weekly simulation submissions to Qorvo grid servers
- Understands and reinforces design review, best practice, and other product line design processes
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of low noise, low power, high linearity design techniques for Tx and/or Rx module design for 4G/5G applications
- Prefer experience in using HFSS/ADS FEM 3D sim tools, ADS for simulation and layout.
- Some experience in the use of RF test equipment such as Noise Figure Meter, VNA, Spectrum analyzer etc in execution of Gain/NF/IIP3/Isolation measurement and troubleshooting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

- Self-starter and team player
- BSEE or equivalent
