SUMMARY:
Qorvo is seeking an experienced Production Test Development Engineer to join the test development team in the Power Management division. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and performance of our innovative Power Management ICs, catering to an array of applications including Mobile, Consumer, IoT, and Industrial sectors. This role demands a skilled test engineer to navigate the complexities of Power Management IC production test while bridging the gap between design and test engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design PCB/probe card and socket according to R&D test plan and ATE test capability.
- Design and develop applications on various production test platforms for maximum throughput in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Mentor junior test engineers on measurement methodologies for PMIC the following types of products: PMIC for mobile applications, Motor Control and Motor Drive, Battery Management and Fuel Gauge ICs.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support engineering test projects, design verification testing, customer return case, qualification testing.
- Generate and maintain documents related to test systems, software designs and test development process.
- Perform correlation, Gage R&R, and ANOVA studies
- Coordinate test program buyoff activities in lab & manufacturing sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical or Electronic or Semiconductor Engineering or similar degree.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in developing Semiconductor devices, as a Test Development Engineer, Test Engineer or Application Engineer.
- Software development and debug experience on ATE test systems. Familiar with at least 1 test platform: Cohu DMDX and Teradyne ETS88.
- Test development experience on power management devices with any of functional blocks: Buck, Boost, LDO, Charger, Driver, MCU etc.
- Experience with schematic design and PCB layout using Altium or Cadence.
- Statistical engineering data analysis and DOE skill set
- Strong working ownership with very well self-motivated and engineering attitude.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in leading cross functional teams and understands program/project management

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $140,100 - $182,100, relevant for the California Bay Area (subject to change dependent on physical location)
