We are seeking a skilled RF Applications Engineer to develop reference designs to showcase Qorvo products in new end applications. The Applications Engineer will be responsible for designing matching networks to optimize performance of power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, and RF control products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The applications engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for a growing portfolio of RF front-end products for a multitude of communications applications.
- The position will work with customers and the sales team to grow Qorvo’s High Performance RF Solutions business.
- Develop reference designs and implement custom RF matching circuits to optimize application performance.
- The engineer will determine customer requirements for specific applications and recommend the right solutions including assistance with design-in for system integration.
- Troubleshooting of customers systems implementation of Qorvo’s products.
- Work closely with the design team and product line manager to create product datasheets and application note documentation, product evaluation boards, and training material for customers.
- Work with product line managers to ensure that customer requirements are met with new product introductions.
- Competitive technical analysis and benchmarking of products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree required; Masters preferred with focus on RF/Microwave.
- 3-5 years of work experience minimum.
- Working knowledge of RF semiconductors for power amplifiers, LNA, RF switches, attenuators, and filters.
- Working knowledge of using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzer, and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to create reference designs through design of matching networks.
- Capable of nonlinear simulation in ADS or MWO.
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $111,200 - $144,700, relevant for the California Bay Area (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.
