We are recruiting a Test Engineering Lab Manager to join Qorvo’s High Performance Analog Products (HPA). The incumbent will lead a team of RF technicians in a test engineering lab environment. This position will be based in Richardson, TX.
Key Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead RF Test Engineer and Technician pool to support RF characterization from DC to 67GHz
- Responsible for scheduling test workload, order supplies and managing global lab operation following Qorvo processes.
- Support design engineering with new product testing throughout product lifecycle
- Develop and report performance metrics to higher management
- Support lean and 5S initiatives
- Leads and motivates team with strong work ethics, openness to ideas, and energetic attitude
- Responsible for coaching and developing existing and new employees as well as monitoring performance
- Planning and goal setting for future periods.
- Foster stronger collaboration among technicians to optimize test bench utilization and overall productivity.
- In charge of tracking and reporting scorecard results to senior management
- Work along with test development team to solve problems
- Ensure strict ESD compliance through proper equipment use, training, and routine audits.
Technical Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years in the RF Semiconductor industry or an Associate’s degree in electrical engineering at 7+ years in the RF semiconductor industry
- Technical understanding of RF characterization
- Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint skills required
- Organized approach to problem solving
- Operate independently with minimal supervision

- Position may require travel.
