Qorvo’s Trade Compliance team provides subject matter expertise on export, import, customs and sanctions laws and regulations to support Qorvo’s global business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for export licensing and the export classification process, denied party screening and provide guidance on export control and sanctions laws and regulations to the business and operations. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.

 

This is a hybrid role that can be located in Richardson, TX or Greensboro, NC.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Draft EAR and ITAR export licenses for submission. Monitor progress and interface with licensing officers to respond to inquiries. Develop and implement license control plans and ensure authorizations are managed compliantly.
  • Assist with transactional denied party screening and conduct due diligence reviews.
  • Review end-use/user statements for compliance.
  • Support export classification (ECCN and USML) reviews during product development process and at other times, as needed to support business needs.
  • Serve as an internal resource and provide advice and guidance to business units and functions on trade compliance requirements, company policies and procedures.
  • Work on cross-functional projects with other business unit colleagues and trade compliance team members to ensure Qorvo’s activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements and align with strategic objectives.
  • Support development and maintenance of working-level instructions, policies and procedures to manage trade compliance program.
  • Conduct compliance audits.
  • Create and deliver trade compliance training, as needed.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in trade compliance, including export licensing, denied party screening, and providing guidance on export control and sanctions laws and regulations
  • Experience in managing and navigating EAR and ITAR regulations
  • Experience creating export licenses, monitoring their progress, and interfacing with licensing officers to respond to inquiries
  • Experience assisting with denied party screening and conducting due diligence reviews
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and execute timely to meet deadlines and strategic objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, judgment, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to take initiative, anticipate problems, work collaboratively, and adapt flexibly.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field
  • Proficiency in trade compliance software such as SAP GTS and denied party screening applications
  • Experience in the semiconductors or microelectronics industry
  • Experience in conducting compliance audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
