We are recruiting a Sr. Test Technician to join Qorvo’s Infrastructure and Defense Products (IDP). The incumbent will provide support to the Test Engineering Group to conduct Design Validation Testings. This position will be based in Richardson, TX.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Conduct DC and RF testing from DC to mmWave frequencies
  • Setup, calibrate RF test systems following Qorvo standards
  • Perform limited test setup troubleshooting, assemble fixtures wire harnesses
  • Interact with test development engineers to support test setup improvement when applicable
  • Setup and calibrate [S] parameters and power test setups
  • Report test progress to manager and customers
  • Contribute to Design Validation Testing process


QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF component testing required
  • Proficient with test equipment including, RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, noise figure analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multi-meters
  • Knowledgeable in RF Test. Testing includes S-parameters, noise figure, power, pulsed power, high power RF, TOI, harmonics, ACP, modulation testing (AM/AM, AM/PM, PAM, etc).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Operate as a team player

 

Desired experience:

 

  • Load Pull measurements using Maury or Focus software
  • Digital pre distorsion (DPD)
  • Excellent communication, meeting facilitation and presentation skills
  • Team player contribution
  • Required Education & Experience:
  • AS Engineering degree and 5 year of experience in RF testing


Position Location: Richardson, Texas

Citizenship:  US person (US Citizen or Green Card holder). Capable of obtaining US Secret clearance.
