Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented RF Test Engineer to lead and execute RF measurement campaigns for both high-power and small-signal devices. This role involves hands-on testing, troubleshooting complex setups, and close collaboration with design and product teams to ensure compliance with rigorous performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for high-power RF and small-signal S-parameter measurements.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain a wide range of RF test equipment including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, RF sources, pulse generators, power meters, oscilloscopes, and PXI systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in RF test systems with minimal supervision.
- Automate data acquisition, analysis, and reporting using tools such as Excel (macros), Python, or similar scripting environments.
- Assemble and rework prototypes, including soldering SMT components and fabricating custom test fixtures.
- Analyze and interpret test data in collaboration with engineering teams to validate device performance against specifications.
- Document test procedures, results, and anomalies in clear, concise technical reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in RF test engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong expertise in RF measurements including:
- S-parameters, Noise figure, Output power and pulsed power, TOI, harmonics, ACP, VBW, Digital pre-distortion (DPD), Modulation testing (AM/AM, AM/PM, PAM, LTE/TDD, WCDMA, QAM, etc.)
- Proficiency in operating and calibrating RF test equipment and PXI-based systems.
- Advanced data analysis and scripting skills using Microsoft Excel and Python (or similar tools).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset.
