As a Process Development Engineer specializing in Plasma, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing plasma etch processes to support Qorvo’s manufacturing operation. You will work closely with R&D, Manufacturing and Equipment Engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation and integration of new plasma technologies in our production lines. This is a Tuesday through Saturday swing shift with a differential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize plasma processes for semiconductor fabrication.
- Conduct experiments and analyze data to improve process performance.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure process integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plasma-related issues in manufacturing.
- Maintain and calibrate plasma equipment.
- Document process parameters and results for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of semiconductor device processing in industry or related graduate research
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of plasma physics and chemistry.
- Proficiency in using plasma equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience in plasma engineering
- Experience with reactive ion etching (RIE) and deep reactive ion etching (DRIE).
- Knowledge of semiconductor device fabrication and characterization
Work Environment:
- This position is an onsite position with a schedule of Tuesday through Saturday working from 2pm-11pm.
