Overview/Summary:

Qorvo is seeking a Process Development Engineer to join our Global Operations Process Engineering team in Richardson, TX. In this role you will be tasked with developing and sustaining thin film deposition semiconductor manufacturing processes for Qorvo's multiple product lines.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and sustain processes in a semiconductor fabrication facility
  • Developing and sustaining robust thin film deposition production processes for multiple product lines
  • Tool startup, process qualification, troubleshooting problems, supporting yield enhancement programs, cost and cycle time improvements, characterizing and releasing process improvements
  • Development of new thin film deposition processes and equipment evaluation
  • SPC control of thin film deposition processes and related equipment
  • Collaborate with your process engineer team, equipment engineers, manufacturing supervisors and upper management within all fab operations groups to complete tasks and projects.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of semiconductor device processing in industry or related graduate research is preferred years; if Master's degree, years of experience required may be less.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor process flow integration and device physics are required.
  • Knowledge of fab metrology equipment, failure analysis techniques and process control techniques are required.
  • Proficiency expected in design of experiments and statistical process control.
  • Experience in the use of JMP, Spotfire, or other data analytics software is preferred
  • Experience in the use of advanced process control and semiconductor tool fault detection is preferred
  • Experience in the use of AI or machine learning is a plus
  • Experience integrating diverse process and characterization data in root cause investigation of yield issues
  • Direct experience with semiconductor CVD thin film deposition, characterization, and development are preferred.Project management skills are a plus

 

Work environment requirements:

  • Job function requires support of a manufacturing facility operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Position will demand large amounts of time working in a cleanroom environment
  • Some lifting and standing will be required.
