Responsibilities may include:
- Contribute to the success of the Qorvo Defense & Aerospace product lines through mechanical design tasks directly related to product development, including:
- Electronics packaging component design
- 3D modeling of product assemblies
- Sourcing and procurement of custom designed hardware
- Cross-communicating with electrical teams to ensure robust design
- Perform numerical model analysis and thermal characterization, including:
- Thermal FEA modeling to identify and mitigate potential performance risks
- Infrared thermography to determine product temperatures during operation
- Improving model processes to drive design workflow efficiency
- Structural FEA modeling to quantify component stresses during assembly with focus on manufacturability
Qualifications:
- BS with 3 years of experience or MS with 0-1 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering,
- Minimum GPA of 3.5
- Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, organization skills and attention to detail
- 3D CAD experience (preference with SolidWorks)
- FEA or CFD modeling experience
