Corporate Site Services (CSS) scope is broad and includes maintaining Qorvo sites, offices, labs and factories as well as onsite services and experiences that help Qorvo employees to stay safe, secure and productive. The Facilities Operations Manager plays a critical role within the overall CSS scope.
The Campbell Road CSS Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable and cost-effective facilities maintenance and operation of Campbell 24x7 facilities operations. The CSS Facilities Operations Manager will accomplish this by managing a staff of contractors and leveraging multiple key contractors for specialized tasks.
The Campbell CSS Facilities Operations Manager will also be responsible for implementing the Computerized Maintenance Management Program, which is utilized to schedule and track all maintenance performed on the facilities systems. Additionally, CMMS data analysis and reports will be generated by the Operations Manager to aid in report generation and equipment performance trends.
The role reports directly to the Richardson Corporate Site Services Director.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of Facilities Operations and supervise/lead Facilities technicians and contractors. Critical Systems include: DI Water, chillers, boilers, HVAC, process exhaust, process cooling water and PVAC.
- Responsible for all building space planning and relocations
- Utilize CMMS to drive Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs for all critical facilities systems
- Strong Focus on achieving Facilities KPI's include Safety (No recordables), Environmental Impacts (Zero), Interruptions to Production (Zero) and meeting cost performance targets
- Support EHS in reporting of facilities metrics; ensure system compliance to critical Environmental Permits
- Lead daily operations meeting; coordinate communication of critical tasks between operations, maintenance, controls and engineering teams utilizing SIPP (Site Incident Prevention Plan) system
- Appraise performance of direct reports and contractors/vendors vs. established expectations/performance criteria.
- Communicate with Lab Operations to schedule any required impacts through Non-Standard work program
- Collaborate with Cross-Site Qorvo Site Services team to share BKM's and learnings
- Apply Lean concepts to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, cost, quality, efficiency and performance
- Support long-range Facilities Asset Management & Capex Planning
- Support 6S strategy and continuous improvement activities
- Manage supplier performance and costs; monitoring/managing PO's to ensure compliance to scope of services provided
- Manage site Security Captain and site security team
- Stay current on latest industry trends for maintenance and system performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Facilities Management or Engineering
- 8+ years of related experience in facilities operations, engineering, manufacturing or maintenance (with advanced degree less experience may be acceptable)
- Strong analytical skills and experience in 8D/root cause problem solving
- Strong project management skills with ability to multi-task priorities
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Motivated, self-directed and flexible working in a team/collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills to multiple levels of the organization
- Leadership and influencing skills; drive strong and successful team development
- Experience with CMMS and executing maintenance plans
- Experience in Semiconductor facilities operations or similar manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- DI Water System knowledge/experience a plus
