RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • The primary focus of this role is to support the marketing team in generating new design wins through design, test and evaluation of high power amplifier products using Qorvo’s GaN process technologies.
  • The RF power amplifier applications engineer will be responsible for creating Doherty reference designs using the latest GaN technology. 
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to key customers and facilitate the smooth transition of Qorvo’s RF power amplifier products into Base Station systems.
  • You will work directly with customers as well as Qorvo’s internal design and advance research teams.
  • Create product requirement specifications, data sheets and applications notes for high power amplifier products for Base Station market.
  • Serves as the customer interface in understanding application requirements and assuring technical feasibility during the product development phase.
     

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSEE required, MSEE preferred
  • 6-8 years of circuit design/measurement experience with GaAs, GaN or LDMOS transistor based high power amplifiers.
  • Doherty design experience a must have
  • Hands-on experience with board level tuning and optimization of amplifier matching networks
  • Good organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities to meet goals in fast-paced environment.
