Qorvo’s RFIC Design Engineering Internship is offered in HPA Defense & Aerospace business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Contributing to the design of multiple functional blocks including millimeter-wave (mmW) LNAs, PAs, Phase Shifters, Attenuators, Switches, Supporting Analog and Interface circuitry in state of the art CMOS and RFSOI technologies
- Active device and electromagnetic modeling for high-frequency designs
- Meeting performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, power dissipation and schedule
- Working as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data
- Working with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF/mmW IC design
- Minimum GPA of 3.3
- RF/mmW circuit design coursework and/or experience
- Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred
- Software exposure: ADS, Cadence, HFSS, EMX
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-Starter with good communication skills
- Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
- Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
- Ability to enjoy working in fast paced work environment
