Summary:

Qorvo is looking for an ambitious, conscientious, and thorough RFIC Design Engineer who will work in a fast pace, highly co-operative environment with a world-class team. Will be responsible for designing highly-integrated microwave and millimeter-wave RFICs in state of the art technologies. Work with others to invent new circuit design and simulation techniques and will play an instrumental role in the growth and excellence of Qorvo's IP portfolio.

 

This position will be located in Apopka, FL.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop electrical engineering components, including Radio Frequency (RF) switches and LNA for cellular applications, using SOI, GaAs and CMOS.
  • Work with RFIC design, or analog mixed design; designing with HFSS, Cadence, or ADS; RF design measurements or characterization; standard RF design techniques Working knowledge of device physics, especially tradeoffs for switch configuration; linear and nonlinear simulation techniques and simulators; refining their simulation results to achieve excellent predictability with the goal of first pass success; large signal circuit design, and explaining and presenting RF design circuits; and  leading RF projects to completion on project deadlines. 
  • Support standalone switch modules and also switches for integration into a multi-chip module (MCM).
  • Write detailed electrical engineering specifications for RF switches.
  • Use of RF measurement equipment with the ability to troubleshoot measurement issues.
  • Conduct peer reviews of their designs, including expected and/or actual results.
  • Write regular program updates and execute to an aggressive schedule. #L1-SM1

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related and 2 years’ experience, or Masters with any experience. Position requires experience to involve:
  • Switch, RFIC design, or analog mixed design
  • Designing with HFSS, Cadence, or ADS
  • RF design measurements or characterization
  • Standard RF design techniques Working knowledge of device physics, especially tradeoffs for switch configuration
  • Linear and nonlinear simulation techniques and simulators, and capable of refining their simulation results to achieve excellent predictability with the goal of first pass success
  • Large signal circuit design, and explaining and presenting RF design circuits
  • Leading RF projects to completion on project deadlines
