FF/Microwave Test Engineer - This work entails tuning, characterizing and data reporting of front-end modules (FEMs) used in wireless RF applications. FEM designs involve the integration of a broad suite of Qorvo's RF technologies including GaAs PAs, LNAs, switches, SAW and BAW filters.  
 
As a test engineer you will be working with the design team to achieve the optimal module performance, assist in full characterization of the module at each critical sample milestone and generate a full compliance data package to be delivered to the customer. The test engineer will be using the latest state of the art in RF/microwave test equipment and data analysis tools. Basic knowledge of DC and RF measurements such as s-parameters, power, noise figure, harmonics and inter-modulation is required. Knowledge of digital modulation techniques used in LTE and 5G phones and the associated measurements such as ACLR, EVM and SEM used in RF communication standards is preferred.

 

Job Qualifications:  

 

  • Experience in testing and evaluation of RF/Microwave components and/or integrated modules  

  • Proficient with test equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers,  RF signal generators, noise figure meters, oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.  

  • Familiarity with Digital RF Modulation techniques 

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Visual Basic .NET, C# and SQL is preferred.  

  • BSEE or MSEE required, RF & Microwave training 

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to multitask. 

  • Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling 

  • Good communication skills  

  • Ability to use data visualization tools such as Spotfire or Excel
