Qorvo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team that supports our industry-leading semiconductor test platform.  This is a fast-paced environment supporting Qorvo's 24/7 worldwide  manufacturing operations.  You will join the small team solely responsible for the maintenance, strategic direction, and further enhancement of this test platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field, and with 8-10 relevant years developing Windows applications
• Passionate about robust software design, scalable solutions, and excellence in all that you do
• Fluent in C# and the larger .NET ecosphere, and up to date on the future of .NET.  You have good experience with Winforms applications and Windows services
• Knowledgeable regarding at least one common testing framework, such as JUnit/NUnit/MSTest or similar
• Comfortable in highly optimized and multithreaded desktop applications.  You have maintained GUI-centric multithreaded desktop applications before, and you are knowledgeable regarding synchronization primitives and experienced in diagnosing and resolving common multithreading issues
• Experienced with relational databases in general and MS SQL in particular.  You can craft queries, sprocs, views, and tables with ease.  You are familiar with database normalization and optimization
• Comfortable in a highly collaborative environment, able to discuss tactical problems with a team of equally qualified peers while working towards the common goal of the best solution possible
• Equally comfortable throughout all phases of the software development process, as able to craft requirements as to produce a design, realize it with code, thoroughly document it, develop a test suite against it, and ultimately deploy it worldwide
• Able to work with a variety of customers and other constituencies -- both internal and external to the company

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Comfortable in C/C++
• At ease with classic TCP/UDP socket communication
• Up to date on the expected future of the .NET ecosphere, including .NET Core and cross-platform .NET development
• Well versed in Unix/Linux programming, particularly if familiar with development via the mono framework
• Experienced with Git
• Knowledgeable of containerization and container deployment via Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledgeable regarding web development
• Familiar with scripting tools or languages such as Python, Powershell, Lua, or similar
