About the Team

The Product Quality Engineer position reports to the Manager of Product Quality for Qorvo’s Advanced Products Business Unit. Through collaboration with different disciplines, groups, and sites you will execute product qualifications while meeting timelines and commitments.

 

About the Role

As a Product Quality Engineer, you will apply knowledge and understanding of Electrical Engineering and/or Quality Engineering, you will drive product qualifications based on the technology, product function, and complexity.  You will ensure internal teams provide deliverables to start qualification on time with the expectation of first pass success.

 

What You Will Do

Leveraging your Engineering background, you will:

  • Work with different disciplines, groups, sites to identify potential risks associated with new product development
  • Establish qualification plans and schedules to meet product release timelines and commitments
  • Drive product qualification plans to evaluate risks, investigate and resolve any failures that occur
  • Review parametric / test data using SPOTFIRE, JMP and similar software
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as qual reports, manuals, procedures, etc.
  • Continuously improve QA processes and procedures
  • Participate and sometimes lead problem resolution teams for complex technical issues

 

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
  • Experience using data mining software such as JMP and SPOTFIRE
  • Problem Solving, 8D and FMEA experience
  • Exposure to Six Sigma and Lean Principals

 

Preferred Candidates Will Also Possess

  • Master’s Degree
  • Knowledge of both front and back-end manufacturing flow
  • Experience working in Quality, preferably Product Quality
  • Familiarity with Reliability Processes and Standards
  • Project Management/Team Leadership Skills
