Summary:
Qorvo’s fast-growing Programmable Power Management division focusing on Power management, Power loss protection, and Battery Charger solutions for a wide range of Mobile, Consumer, IOT and Industrial applications is looking for an experienced Application engineer to support next generation power management solutions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Grow revenue by supporting customer questions and troubleshooting.
•    Own and drive creation of technical documentation such as datasheets, evaluation results, customer presentations, and other technical collateral.
•    Design Evaluation Kit and custom reference design schematics and PCBs 
•    Collaborate with System and Design Engineering to define and test new IC functionality.
•    Evaluate new IC functionality.
•    Generate competitive analysis documents.
•    Generate presentations to train Sales, FAEs, and Customers.
•    Support new IC spins with direct customer support and IC testing.
•    Provide system level solutions to customers, application engineers and sales teams

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    BSEE and at least 10+ years or MSEE degree with 5+ years of experience in power supply or semiconductor industry.
•    Hands-on lab experience supporting high frequency switching power supplies in the semiconductor power management industry. This includes bucks, buck-boosts, boosts, battery chargers, PMICs, and LDOs.
•    Strong working knowledge of analog and mixed signal board level design, including PCB layout guidelines for high switching frequency applications.
•    Working knowledge of PCB schematic capture and layout tools.
•    Understanding of I2C protocol, digital logic basics, and USB protocols.
•    Soldering and rework skills.
•    Ability to communicate highly technical subject matter to others.
•    Good written and verbal communication skills.
•    Good team player capable of working across multiple organizations
•    Ability to work independently to prioritize and multitask while supporting multiple projects.
•    Self-starter that can identify and improve processes and procedures
•    Ability for both domestic and international travel.
