Summary:
Qorvo Power Device Solutions (PDS) is seeking a qualified summer intern interested in SiC based power electronics and testing circuits.
The position is in Princeton (NJ) and will be approximately 3-months.
The job entails
- Design of custom power electronic test circuits.
- Characterize discrete and power modules in application relevant circuits.
- Develop online health monitoring approach for SiC based switches.
- Explore device limits in demanding applications.
Qualifications:
- Relevant course work and lab work in power electronics
- Demonstrated skills on bench testing power semiconductors
- understanding of electro-thermal response of power modules and discrete
- basic power electronic circuit design and debugging
- understanding of power module design, modeling, and gate drivers a plus
- Desired Degree: B.S/MS Electrical Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Design of custom power electronic test circuits based on guidance from Senior engineers
- Characterize discrete and power modules in application relevant circuits
- Develop online health monitoring approach for SiC based switches with guidance from Senior engineers
- Make measurements to understand device limits in demanding applications.
