Summary:

Qorvo Power Device Solutions (PDS) is seeking a qualified summer intern interested in SiC based power electronics and testing circuits.

The position is in Princeton (NJ) and will be approximately 3-months.

 

The job entails

  • Design of custom power electronic test circuits.
  • Characterize discrete and power modules in application relevant circuits. 
  • Develop online health monitoring approach for SiC based switches.
  • Explore device limits in demanding applications.

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant course work and lab work in power electronics
  • Demonstrated skills on bench testing power semiconductors
  • understanding of electro-thermal response of power modules and discrete
  • basic power electronic circuit design and debugging
  • understanding of power module design, modeling, and gate drivers a plus
  • Desired Degree: B.S/MS Electrical Engineering

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design of custom power electronic test circuits based on guidance from Senior engineers
  • Characterize discrete and power modules in application relevant circuits
  • Develop online health monitoring approach for SiC based switches with guidance from Senior engineers
  • Make measurements to understand device limits in demanding applications.
