Qorvo’s DevOps Internship is offered in our Central Software business group. To support our development teams, the DevOps team provides a secure, resilient, and scalable hybrid infrastructure which provides both computing power and hardware test capabilities to our CI/CD platform. The team goal is to ensure the global coherence of the software factory and to evangelize DevOps culture in Qorvo’s developer community while being as close as possible to the latest state of the art practices. Full automation, tests, GitOps are base principles that we use, implement, and improve in our daily missions. But we are also a hardware company, understanding of hardware, low level programming and strong knowledge of operating systems is also at the core of our job.
Responsibilities may include:
- Study and implement network traffic collection, monitoring and alerting
- Study and implement configuration change monitoring of our cloud platform
- Study Linux operating system hardening to improve overall infrastructure security
- Write terraform code and deploy resources in the cloud or in diverse services
- Develop new tools in Python
- Modify or improve CI/CD pipeline in collaboration with embedded developer teams
- Improve infrastructure CI/CD pipeline
- Deploy, manage, and tune Kubernetes clusters
- Update servers' configuration via Saltstack configuration management tool
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science
- Good knowledge in Linux System administration and scripting (bash)
- Good knowledge of development in Python
- Good understanding of the DevOps tools and culture
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work efficiently in multidisciplinary teams
- Proactive attitude, able to autonomously propose solutions
- Infrastructure enthusiast, with good communication skills
