Design Engineer

BAW/SAW component design and development engineering. This work entails all aspects of the development of state-of-the-art surface/bulk acoustic wave (SAW/BAW) components used in handset applications. Work involves product definition, feasibility studies, computer simulation and optimization, design for manufacturability, layout, and test characterization.
Responsibilities
- Development of RF acoustic BAW/SAW filters in the range of up to 6 GHz for 5G applications
- Applying RF co-design techniques considering other RF components like PAs, LNAs and switches
- Integration into RF front end modules in close cooperation with larger product design teams
- Acoustic and electromagnetic (EM) simulations and optimizations
- Device characterization and diagnostics using the latest state of the art in RF test equipment
- Continuous improvement of design flows, methods, and cycle times.
- Responsibility for cutting-edge device performance in major handset applications
Required Qualification
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF
- Background in standard RF design techniques, RF measurements and characterization
- First experience in SAW or BAW design, MEMS design or RF module design
- Understanding of microelectronic fabrication and high-volume manufacturing is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Be able to work independently, but also in larger teams
