Device Modeling Engineer

We are looking for a Modeling Engineer to join our team developing our innovative leading-edge RF device models for Qorvo’s GaN & GaAs technologies. This will involve fitting Linear and Nonlinear device models for development of RF products. The candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to conduct technical reviews with design engineering teams. This position will be a key member on the Qorvo Modeling Team, supporting Design Engineering, Product Engineering, R&D, and Process Technology Development.
 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop linear and non-linear Models in Qorvo’s GaN & GaAs technologies.

  • Develop and maintain design guides, tutorials, and examples for the design community.

  • Manage model releases and maintain Model libraries.

  • Package models for release in PDK.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering with combined 3+ years experience in an RF IC Modeling or Design Engineer role.

  • Strong understanding of RF/microwave measurement, modeling, and design.

  • Experience with ADS or Microwave Office (AWR).

  • Ability to develop non-linear device models.

  • Competence with one or more of the following: Python, VBasic, C/C++, Shell scripts.

  • Competence with Linux, Git.

  • Ability to work in an RF Test lab.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Record of publishing in technical journals and/or magazines.

  • MS and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering

 

Work Location:  Richardson, Texas.

  • As noted, ​​​candidate ideally would work out of our Richardson Texas site, but we are open to other Qorvo locations.

 

This position requires access to ITAR/EAR technologies and is limited to US persons.
