We are recruiting for an Automotive Customer Program Manager (CPM) within Qorvo’s Integrated Systems Business Unit (ISBU) to be accountable for successful execution of US customer programs.
Responsibilities:
- The CPM will drive the execution of programs and work directly with the Hardware and Software Program Managers to meet schedules and remain under budget while exceeding customer expectations
- The CPM will also be responsible for ensuring close interaction and coordination between the customer development teams and the manufacturing operations, including Design, Assembly, Test, and Quality
- The CPM should have experience successfully communicating internal assessment of program work to customer-facing Account Managers and key functional team managers/directors
- Engage key stakeholders in Engineering, Software, Quality, Marketing, and Project Management during Product Release to maintain focus on core product values and long-term business revenue plan
- This leader should have experience in successful development lifecycle management, leading dynamic teams, working with and satisfying internal customers, and driving continuous improvement of internal systems and processes
Other responsibilities include:
- Lead engineering teams from inside and outside the group (cross-functional team) and other team members as required
- Ownership of a successful and timely technology development and production release utilizing management tools.
- Ensure clear expectations and goals, common vision, team buy-in, and clear communications to the development team
- Emphasis on good stewardship of development team resources and foster team learning within the project group
- Continuously improve the speed and predictability of software development through implementation of Best Practices and Lesson’s Learned.
- Elevate within Qorvo situations where gaps cannot be closed and communicate this situation to the customer as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Engineering or related engineering field with a Masters in Business Administration
- 12+ years’ experience in Program management, with at least 10+ years at an Automotive customer or Tier 1
- 5+ years’ experience with Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)
- 5+ years’ experience managing in an ASPICE Level 2 environment
- Position must be located in Michigan, US to be near end customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Ability to coordinate discussions and action plans with internal engineering, support organizations, and business unit teams required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and SAP systems
- Proven ability to influence and drive internal suppliers and customers and cross-functional teams without formal authority
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience as a team leader managing a team of direct reports, including an active role in people development
