NOTE: Because this is a student internship, candidate must be a currently enrolled student in a degree-seeking accredited program.

This is a full-time Intern position located in Hillsboro, OR. The position will be temporary in nature and last approximately 3 months.

 

Job Summary:

The Sustainability Specialist will be tasked with establishing a Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions monitoring program. This includes collecting, monitoring, and reporting such emissions. As Scope 3 emissions include upstream/downstream transportation, employee travel, supply chain, etc., the intern will work closely across business units to ensure complete and accurate data collection.

 

Desired Degree:

BS or MS in a Sustainability Degree (e.g. Environmental Engineering/Science, Sustainability, Energy, Climate Science or equivalent)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Scope 3 emissions data inventory
  • Establish management system to collect data on an annual basis
  • Analyze risks/opportunities within Scope 3 data
  • Provide input and assist with reporting on Scope 3 emissions

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and working understanding of Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) and Sustainability
  • Knowledge and working understanding of Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Passionate about solving challenging environmental problems
  • Understands the importance of a responsible and sustainable supply chain
  • Ability to influence others in order to collect data and meet deadlines
