DUTIES: The Sr.QA Tester is a key player supporting Enterprise Business Systems Quality Assurance (QA) test needs. Work on integration with our support teams, both internally and externally, to provide efficient QA testing using manual or automated methods. Familiar with testing best practices and open to learning new systems and processes. Perform hands-on manual and automated testing of enterprise business systems, including functional unit testing, integration testing, User acceptance testing, and regression testing.  Develop and maintain test scripts. Develop and maintain data sheets.  Review and approve the solution requirements and map solution requirements and map solution requirement to the test scripts (RTMS). Participate and contribute to the scrums. Proactively intercept and lead test readiness activities, including requirements finalization, test scoping efforts, leading test script generation tasks, learning and scheduling test insertions as assigned.  Establish and adhere to the Test Management policies and standard procedures. Demonstrate Standard Work usage and maintain a current and efficient standard work model. Actively participate in end-to-end business transformation efforts, including supporting the solution requirement gathering, test scripts, data sheets, Requirement Traceability Matrix, and preparing for go-live and subsequent run/maintenance. Perform hands-on expansion of Testing Automation footprint to drive efficiency. Develop, Review, and promote the automated scripts to production. Accountable for testing KPIs, collaborating with the teams to meet KPIs, and working with internal and external customers to drive improvement. Apply LEAN principles and use 8-step problem solving to improve KPI and other related testing processes. Author and publish test-related papers suitable for conference and benchmarking. Collaborating with our offshore team for efficient delivery. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering or Software Degree, and 7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance test role. 

 

Additionally, the position requires:

  1. Generating and maintaining test artifacts to promote a sustainable process;
  2. Software/Engineering background with software testing experience;
  3. Demonstrated ability to deliver QA testing results meeting/exceeding KPI targets;
  4. Coaching skills to support junior team members;
  5. Extensive knowledge and experience with at least one automation tool (HP QTP, Test Complete, or Tosca); and
  6. Able to interpret and present data to various levels of business and management.
