Development Engineer

Responsibilities: 

  • Actively participates in the development of highly integrated RF modules such as Power Amplifiers, PA Duplexers and front end modules  
  • Evaluate robustness of new, highly integrated RF product designs to variations in the manufacturing process  
  • Develop complex RF test solutions on ATE to verify product performance in high volume production  
  • Maximize yield by reducing product's sensitivity to process variation   
  • Conduct and report to core teams, extensive data analysis establishing product performance and ensure DFT (Design For Testability) and DFM (Design For Manufacturability)  
  • Develop in-process screens (e.g. wafer sort) to optimize product cost and quality  
  • Drive yield improvement and ensure high yields and quality through sustainment phase  
  • Coordinate activities for manufacturing release to meet scheduled milestones  
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate defects and nonconforming material  
  • Help resolve customer level quality excursions or concerns 

 

Qualifications: 

  • MS (Electrical, Electronics or Telecom Engineering) or BSEE
  • RF Engineering specific course work during their MS or BSEE is a must  
  • Strong understanding of S-Parameters and related analysis  
  • Familiarity with RF test measurements / instruments such as VNA, Spectrum Analyzers etc  
  • Good understanding of cellular power amplifier performance test techniques/methodologies  
  • Ability to interpret, update and create technical documents
  • Strong track record of independently analyzing test data and assessing compliance with performance requirements. This includes effective troubleshooting skills to isolate test failures/anomalies and to develop recovery action plans  
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex technical information effectively to internal and customer stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Statistical Analysis methods and software tools
  • Strong collaboration skills
