We are looking for a motivated Staff Analog Design Engineer with a solid background in Analog IC design, excellent communication skills, and strong drive to produce best in class products. The engineer will be supporting the design development of next generation RF switch and/or LNA mobile handset products. The candidate will be supported by an established team representing program management, applications, layout, characterization, reliability, quality, and logistics. The candidate will need to have experience in designing 1V to 1.8V Bias References, bandgap circuits, Op-Amps, bias networks, Current DACs, Oscillators, Level Shifters, Voltage Regulators and LDOs. Experience in SOI, CMOS and SiGe is a plus.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design of various analog functional blocks like bandgaps, charge pumps, LDOs, level shifters, OpAmps, DACs
  • Work with IC Layout Design Engineers to optimize design and layout
  • Support device characterization as well as troubleshoot measurements and RF/analog design issues
  • Manage and present design trade-offs including performance, size, cost and time to market
  • Expert use of measurement equipment with the ability to troubleshoot measurement issues
  • Present design work during peer reviews including expected and/or actual results
  • Provide regular progress update to development team
  • Develop and execute project schedules and bring products to market on time
  • Contribute to cross functional continuous improvement efforts

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering, 10 years of experience in analog circuit design
  • Proven track record designing with Cadence including layout with strong background in various linear and nonlinear simulation techniques and simulators
  • Experience in standard Analog design techniques including layout expertise
  • Experience in circuit design using various silicon technologies including SOI, CMOS  and SiGe technologies is plus
  • Detailed transistor-level knowledge; Capable of design-supporting analog circuitry such as current references, bandgaps, charge pumps, LDO’s, ADC’s, and level shifter
  • Strong background with measurements and characterization
  • Demonstrated experience in standard RF design techniques, debugging analog/RF/mixed signal noise issues, and RF coupling
  • Working knowledge of device physics, especially tradeoffs for analog circuitry
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Knowledge of RF design and other large signal circuit design is considered a plus
