Qorvo is seeking a Systems Engineer to develop, model, and analyze advanced RF communication systems for mobile and connected applications. This role will translate customer use cases and evolving wireless requirements into system architectures, performance targets, and actionable product requirements.

Working closely with Systems Architects and cross-functional engineering teams, the Systems Engineer will evaluate system-level tradeoffs and help guide the development and integration of RF front-end and power-management solutions. The position will contribute to current product development while helping shape technology and product roadmaps for 5G Advanced, emerging 6G architectures, and adjacent connected applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop RF communication system models, simulations, and level plans for transmit and receive signal chains.
• Translate customer, platform, and system requirements into component-level and functional-block requirements.
• Analyze end-to-end system performance, including output power, efficiency, linearity, noise, sensitivity, dynamic range, thermal performance, and power consumption.
• Use MATLAB, SystemVue, Excel, and other modeling tools to evaluate RF components within cellular and connected-device architectures.
• Perform architecture and design tradeoff analyses across performance, size, power, integration complexity, cost, development risk, and schedule.
• Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar for use in programming and system analysis
• Partner with Qorvo Systems Architects on advanced technologies and applications, including 5G Advanced, MIMO, Carrier Aggregation, Envelope Tracking, RF power management, IoT, UWB, baseband predistortion, antenna tuning, and emerging 6G concepts.
• Guide the system-level integration of RF functional blocks—including Power Amplifiers, LNAs, acoustic filters, SOI switches, antenna-tuning solutions, and power-management devices—into complete RF front-end modules.
• Collaborate with product, design, applications, test, characterization, and manufacturing teams to ensure system requirements are understood and achieved throughout development.
• Correlate simulation results with laboratory measurements and product characterization data.
• Support technical design reviews, architecture documentation, customer discussions, and system-level decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, product differentiation, modeling accuracy, and development efficiency.
• Contribute to the continued development of system-modeling methodologies, analysis tools, and reusable design processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • If advanced degree less relevant work experience may be considered.
• Experience with RF communication systems, including system-level modeling, simulation, analysis, or design.
• Understanding of RF transmit and receive architectures and key performance parameters.
• Experience with RF simulation or analysis tools such as MATLAB, SystemVue, ADS, VSS, or equivalent platforms.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and translate results into clear requirements and recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple technical activities in a fast-paced development environment.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to developing robust, manufacturable, and high-yield products.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines and organizational boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with cellular RF front-end architectures, mobile handset platforms, or connected-device systems.
• Knowledge of Power Amplifiers, LNAs, acoustic filters, RF switches, RF power management, Envelope Tracking, antenna tuning, or integrated front-end modules.
• Familiarity with MIMO, Carrier Aggregation, wideband modulation, linearization, or baseband predistortion.
• Experience using RF laboratory equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power meters, and vector signal analyzers.
• Experience correlating system simulations with laboratory, characterization, or production-test data.
• Familiarity with cellular standards, industry requirements, and the evolution from 5G Advanced toward 6G.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
