As Manager of Test Platform Engineering based in Greensboro, NC you will contribute to Qorvo’s worldwide operational excellence. You will manage a team in close collaboration with other Qorvo teams to plan, develop, evaluate, and deploy test platforms for production. You will work with business partners to drive innovation, cost reductions, and ensure new test requirements are deployed worldwide.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Manage, mentor, and provide technical leadership of platform engineers for efficient operation of the team.

• Plan, develop, and implement new requirements, procedures for test time reduction and yield improvement strategies on high volume products to lower test cost.
• Forge and maintain relationships with vendors and Qorvo’s business partners to develop improvements for product test development and manufacturing.
• Interact with vendors to evaluate and recommend the purchase of test equipment to be used in Qorvo’s manufacturing.
• Investigate and initiate changes to design of testing equipment.
• Drive innovation, technical improvements, and cost reductions throughout the team and the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering specializing in RF or related technical field
• Strong understanding of automated test equipment such as: spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, & power supplies
• 8+ years working with test support of RF front-end (RFFE) integrated chips and modules consisting of power amplifiers, LNAs, filters, WLAN FEM, LNA, switches
• Experience with software development using C++, C#, or Java
• 3+ years’ experience managing or leading a technical team
• Ability to and oversee multiple simultaneous projects

Preferred:

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or related technical field
• Experience in reviewing RF and digital board layouts
• Experience in data analysis using tools like JMP, etc.
