Qorvo is looking for an Engineer with a background in wafer fabrication with a desire to join Qorvo’s Customer Quality Engineering Team, located in our Greensboro, NC campus.

Candidate will act as a customer advocate and liaison to improve customer satisfaction and to prevent and solve product quality problems related to reliability test failures and yield issues. Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to excel in a collaborative team environment is imperative to the success of this position.



  • Communicate customer requirements and expectations within Qorvo
  • Works with the involved parties to enable the success of new product development and sub-projects within the product development schedule
  • Work with Product Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing teams to determine root cause and assess potential reliability risk related to quality and yield excursions
  • Review, refine and publish FA and 8D reports to customers for quality incidents
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and  publish high quality customer reports on yield and customer return issues
  • Be responsive to customer needs
  • Interact with customer and sales on quality topic and close all issues in a timely manner
  • Travel both domestic and international to customer and supplier sites to assist in product quality problem solving and communication of issues
  • Establish systems and processes to enhance responsiveness to customer requirements and assist to drive overall quality improvement for Qorvo


  • Must have working experience in semiconductor fabrication or packaging processes either as a process engineer, integration engineer or supplier quality engineer
  • Understanding how semiconductors work, how they are tested and how they fail is required
  • Minimum B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Material science
  • Familiarity with RF devices is a plus
  • Must have team leadership skills and a record of successfully leading cross functional teams in 8D and/or quality improvement projects
  • Must have a solid understanding of problem solving tools such as 8D, Cause & Effect Diagram, control plans, SPC, FMEA and demonstrated analytical skills driving a data based approach to solve customer quality issues
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
  • Enjoy data analysis, drawing conclusions and driving continuous improvements through fact based problem solving
