SUMMARY / Job description

Join our IT Infrastructure PMO to support the global organization in the execution of IT Infrastructure projects in the areas of systems, networks, security, and acquisition integrations. Plan and execute infrastructure projects working with both internal and external team members and stakeholders.

 

As a contributor in the Qorvo IT PMO, you will influence continual process improvement to facilitate better project and support outcomes. Drive the optimization of our PMO as we evolve into an internal customer focused organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive clear expectations and agreement within the project team utilizing PM tools including project development plans, meticulous organization of project artifacts. Lead team meetings & informal discussions.
  • Improve on organizational process assets. Support Project Management Office strategy and rollout tactical improvements and project management best practices.
  • Drive execution of IT Infrastructure projects. Assess and manage a plan of action, prioritization, status, communication plan, risk and contingency plans. Manage work and inputs from a variety of stakeholders: upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and vendors in a virtual environment. Influence the team to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans using standard project management tools.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / Experience

  • Eight (8) years project management experience in an Information Technology environment. Including all aspects of process development and execution
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent
  • ITIL v4, Agile and/or PMP certification is highly desired  
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, budget management, vendor management and change management techniques. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of tools such as Microsoft Project, Wrike, Excel, Teams, etc.
  • Eager to learn new technologies and tools
  • Proven strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to interface comfortably with the senior leaders to develop an understanding of needs. Responsive, action-oriented and able to build trust with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a completed project and manage employees and contractors
  • Proven success in delivering projects in a fast-paced, matrix resource organization
