SEC Analyst

This position on our external reporting team will be responsible for preparing documentation to support Qorvo’s filings with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), maintaining knowledge of current and emerging developments in SEC regulations and FASB codifications for application in the quarterly and annual reporting.  Additional responsibilities include assisting in the month-end accounting close, accounting research and preparation of accounting memos.  The ideal candidate will possess meticulous attention to detail, critical thinking skills and strong project and time management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain documentation for SEC filings (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K)
• Assist with disclosure checklist, financial statement, footnote preparation and related workpapers
• Research updates to FASB and SEC rules and prepare quarterly updates for finance management
• Research technical accounting issues and document findings
• Utilize Workiva software for SEC filings and XBRL tagging
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close 
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP requirements
• Assist with special projects (M&A transactions, debt offerings)
• Ensure SOX and internal control compliance and assist auditors

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CPA in process
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting and/or industry experience preparing and maintaining documentation for SEC filings

• Meticulous attention to detail
• Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams and prioritizing work to meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in public accounting
• SEC reporting experience (as an external auditor or as a preparer of financial statements)
• Experience working within SAP and Blackline
