Risk & Insurance Manager

SUMMARY:

The Risk & Insurance Manager, reporting to the Sr. Treasury Manager, will be responsible for leading the annual renewal process across all insurance lines, managing the day-to-day activities with insurance brokers, internally coordinating insurance related matters and claims, as well as providing input regarding appropriate coverage levels. As the primary point of contact for insurance matters, this individual will serve a critical role in managing risk across all aspects of the business. In addition to insurance related responsibilities, the Risk & Insurance Manager will also have the opportunity to participate in other global Treasury functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the renewal process for corporate insurance policies including: worker's compensation, general liability, property, umbrella, foreign package, auto, crime, employment practices, directors & officers, and errors & omissions
  • Gather exposure data and the company information required to support annual insurance renewals
  • Perform insurance functions as needed, including processing claims, billings, and policy changes
  • Reconcile monthly insurance carrier deductible billings and other insurance-related spend
  • Analyze loss control trends and provide strategic guidance for implementing specific solutions
  • Track monthly KPIs and report findings quarterly to senior management
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Treasurer and partner with internal groups such as Real Estate, Operations, Supply Chain, etc. to understand risk and reduce exposures
  • Review insurance clauses in contracts and work with legal team to ensure adequate coverage by vendors
  • Serve as a project leader on significant programs/projects such as internal business interruption studies and the integration of insurance policies following acquisitions
  • Prepare quarterly close packages on company insurance matters to be presented to management
  • Interface with peers outside of Company to benchmark processes and hone best practices
  • Assist with other Treasury related duties such as bank account management, stock administration, foreign exchange risk management, and other tasks as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or risk management related field; ARM or CRM accreditation strongly preferred
  • Five years of experience in the corporate insurance function within a complex global company or within a leading corporate insurance broker
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to utilize online claim management systems
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; must be capable of analyzing complex insurance issues and describing them in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience within a large, multi-national manufacturing organization is critical, preference for candidates with semiconductor manufacturing experience
  • Effective communications skills and professional demeanor required to present complex insurance issues and in dealing with external parties
  • Culturally, the successful candidate will be a humble, yet energetic leader, with a strong willingness to listen and the ability to collaborate with team members across all levels and functions
