SUMMARY:
We are looking for a skilled RF Technician to join the Qorvo Automotive Connectivity Business Unit (ACBU). This person will support the development of innovative products for the automotive market. This role will be integral to the successful launch of products with core responsibilities to execute both automated and manual test plans in a timely fashion, make a broad range of measurements, maintain test stations calibration and mechanical health, assist with debug of technical product issues, and generally assist the design and characterization groups in the execution of product development.
This position is on our 2nd shift, which usually works from the 3 PM to 11 PM time-frame. There is a shift differential for working this shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute test plans as described by characterization or test engineering using ATE
- Make manual RF or other electronic measurements as needed
- Calibrate station equipment
- Perform general maintenance on station equipment
- Assist in debugging issues with test hardware
- Assist in making measurements to support customer issues
- Create test plans or data summary plots as needed
- The ideal candidate will perform some basic assembly - populating EVBs, constructing wiring harnesses.
REQUIREMENTS:
- >4-6 years of experience working as a technician in RF measurement or an adjacent field.
- AS in EE/EET or similar degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience making DC and RF measurements with common lab hardware - spectrum analyzers, VNA, power supplies, oscilloscopes.
- Familiar with core elements of RF circuitry such as PA, switches, LNA, filters, attenuators , and couplers.
- Familiar with core RF KPI - Gain/ACLR/Current/NF/Noise/ Return Loss/ Leakage / IP3 / P1DB/ EVM
- Ability to work independently and with self-direction on open-ended problems.
- Able to configure RF test equipment to make detailed and precise measurements
- Understanding and experience with RF calibration.
- An ideal candidate will have some experience with programming test hardware and experience with probe and laser stations.
