Qorvo is seeking a Design Applications Engineer responsible for developing and standardizing design flows for RF module products.  The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing circuit simulations flows, documenting the flow, and provide training to the design community.  The tasks include developing innovative RF module simulations using circuit and EM simulation tools such as ADS, Ansys HFSS, and Cadence.  The candidate will support circuit designs using semiconductor processes such as SOI, CMOS, and III-V technologies, including module design.  Tasks also include collaborating with modeling teams, EDA tool vendors and evaluating EDA tools.



  • Develop and improve circuit design flows and reporting results of RF Modules
  • Develop, document, and communicate simulation standards required for electrical verification
  • Work with a team of Design Applications engineers tasked with supporting internal and external design tools
  • Assist Qorvo designers with creating RF Module simulations using Qorvo best practices
  • Develop and validate best practices for simulation of RF Modules including PA’s, SOI switches and LNAs
  • Utilize high power computing infrastructure to develop circuit simulation methods
  • Determine and benchmark new EDA tools and platforms while identifying gaps and areas needing improvement
  • Guide design flow automation and customized design tools to improve productivity
  • Create documentation and provide simulation flow training to design engineers




  • MSEE or BSEE with 3-5 years of experience with analog or RF circuits
  • Familiarity with high performance RFIC, MMIC and module design flows
  • Proficiency with major electronic design automation (EDA) software platforms (e.g. Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence, AWR)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work and communicate effectively in a diverse, cross functional engineering climate
  • Leadership skills in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Microsoft Office proficiency


 Preferred experience:

  • Keysight ADS and Ansys HFSS simulation experience
  • Scripting experience with ADS, AWR, Linux, Unix, Perl, or Python programming
  • Experience with distributed, load-sharing and cloud-based simulation methods
